 DESCRIPTION

Millennium is an X-Files VHS tape released in 2000.

Millennium (Season 7, Episode 4) is a crossover episode between The X-Files and the TV series Millennium. It blends elements of supernatural horror and thriller genres, centering on the approach of the year 2000 and the sinister actions of a doomsday cult.

Synopsis
As the year 1999 comes to a close, Mulder and Scully are called in to investigate a series of mysterious deaths involving FBI agents who were once members of the Millennium Group, an organization dedicated to fighting apocalyptic threats. The agents' bodies have been found exhumed from their graves, suggesting they were victims of a strange ritual.

The investigation leads Mulder and Scully to Frank Black, a former FBI profiler and key figure from the Millennium Group. Frank, who has been living in seclusion following the death of his wife and the disbandment of the Millennium Group, is initially reluctant to get involved. However, Mulder convinces him that the group's remaining members are planning something catastrophic as the millennium approaches.

It is revealed that the Millennium Group, now a fanatical cult, believes they can trigger the apocalypse by reanimating the dead—specifically the exhumed agents—through a necromantic ritual. Mulder and Scully work with Frank to stop the group's plans and prevent a potential disaster.

The climax of the episode occurs on New Year's Eve, when Mulder and Scully confront the cult members in a tense standoff. They manage to stop the ritual just in time, preventing the resurrection of the dead agents and averting the apocalypse.

The episode ends on a reflective note as Frank, who has been struggling with his own fears of the impending millennium, shares a quiet moment with Mulder and Scully. The three of them watch the New Year's Eve celebrations on television, symbolizing hope and new beginnings as the world enters the year 2000.

Millennium serves as both a continuation of the overarching themes of The X-Files and a conclusion to the storyline of Millennium, offering closure to Frank Black's character while exploring the anxieties and fears surrounding the turn of the millennium.
