Agent: Dana Scully
Date: August 22, 2024
Case Number: 24-7081
On August 20, 2024, Agent Fox Mulder was reported missing under circumstances that remain unexplained. This report details the sequence of events leading up to his disappearance and outlines the ongoing investigation.
On August 19, 2024, Agent Mulder and I were assigned to investigate a case involving unusual phenomena in a remote area near Hopewell, Virginia. The investigation centered around reports of unexplained electromagnetic disturbances and purported sightings of unidentified aerial objects.
At approximately 18:30 hours on August 19, Agent Mulder contacted me via radio to report that he had identified a potential source of the disturbances at coordinates 37.705° N, 77.533° W. He indicated that he was approaching the site for further investigation and would provide updates as necessary. This was the last communication received from him.
When Agent Mulder failed to check in as scheduled at 21:00 hours, I attempted multiple radio contacts and also made use of cell phone communications. There was no response from Agent Mulder. Given the circumstances and the importance of the investigation, I proceeded to the last known location with local law enforcement support.
Upon arriving at the site at approximately 22:30 hours, a thorough search of the immediate area was conducted. No signs of Agent Mulder or any disturbances related to his presence were found. The search area was expanded to include a perimeter of approximately 10 square miles, but no further evidence was discovered.
Local residents reported having heard unusual noises and observed strange lights in the area around the time of Agent Mulder's last communication. However, no concrete evidence has been gathered that links these reports directly to Agent Mulder's disappearance.
The investigation is ongoing. The FBI is coordinating with local authorities, including the Hopewell Police Department and the Virginia State Police, to conduct a comprehensive search and review any potential leads. Additionally, we have requested assistance from specialized units to explore any unconventional theories related to his disappearance.
Agent Fox Mulder's disappearance remains a high-priority case. Given his expertise and the nature of the investigation, it is imperative to consider all possible explanations, including those that may involve unconventional or advanced technologies. Further updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
