 SUMMARY

A deadly viral outbreak threatens to spread worldwide, and Frank discovers that the Millennium Group may be involved in unleashing the virus. As he races to uncover the truth, Frank faces the terrifying possibility that the apocalypse may be closer than ever, setting up a dramatic season finale.

 STORY

"The Fourth Horseman" is the first part of a two-part season finale for *Millennium*. It delves into a chilling and apocalyptic scenario involving a series of gruesome and ritualistic murders that appear to be linked to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

The episode begins with Frank Black investigating a string of murders that share a disturbing pattern. Each crime scene contains clues and symbols related to one of the Four Horsemen—Conquest, War, Famine, and Death. The murders are not just random acts of violence but seem to be part of a larger, orchestrated plan tied to apocalyptic prophecy.

Frank discovers that the murders are part of a ritualistic plan orchestrated by a charismatic and dangerous individual who believes he is fulfilling a prophecy to bring about the end times. This individual, known as the "Preacher," has assembled a following and is using their belief in the apocalypse to manipulate and carry out his plan.

As Frank investigates further, he encounters a network of individuals who are part of the Preacher’s apocalyptic vision, each contributing to the murders in different ways. The investigation reveals that the Preacher's plan involves a complex and deadly scheme to bring about a catastrophic event that he believes will fulfill his apocalyptic vision.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger as Frank and his team face escalating threats from the Preacher and his followers. The tension mounts as they race against time to prevent the completion of the apocalyptic prophecy.

"The Fourth Horseman" is notable for its exploration of apocalyptic themes and religious symbolism, blending elements of psychological thriller and supernatural horror. The episode sets up a dramatic and intense finale, highlighting the battle between good and evil and the impact of prophecy and belief on the characters' lives.
