Sony is continuing the offshoot Spider-Man franchise with the development of Silk. Produced by Amy Pascal, Silk will join other Marvel Comics characters, Venom, Silver and Black, and Nightwatch, as Spider-Man spin-offs.
The character Silk, like Peter Parker, was bitten by the same radioactive spider that gave Parker his powers. Silk, whose real name is Cindy Moon, has difficulty controlling her abilities and remained hidden for years. After discovering Cindy’s existence, Spider-Man rescues the new spider-woman, who calls herself Silk. Silk goes on to explore her abilities and the connection between them.
Silk isn’t a new character for Marvel. First [url=https://comicvine.gamespot.com/silk/4005-101483/]appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man Vol.3 issue 1, the character proved popular and was given her own ongoing series. As of date, Silk has appeared in 142 issues of Marvel comics.
Cindy Moon, played by Tiffany Espensen, appeared briefly in the film Spider-Man: Homecoming as Peter’s classmate and again in Avengers: Infinity War as a bus passenger with Parker. This led to [url=https://nerdist.com/spider-man-venom-mcu-marvel-answers-nerdist-news/]speculation Silk just might enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe and appear in the untitled Avengers 4 film. While heads of Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige, haven’t commented on Silks possible inclusion, they did [url=https://www.cbr.com/venom-isnt-in-mcu-confirmed/]say Venom would more than likely not crossover into the MCU.
Was Cindy’s cameo in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Avengers: Infinity War hinting at the Spider-Man spinoff or do you think Silk will web-sling into the MCU in the near future?
Of course this development doesn't confirm Silk is coming to the big screen, but hopefully Sony will have more news for fans of this heroine soon!
Meanwhile, [url=http://www.venom.movie/site/]Venom, the first spin-off in the Spider-Man franchise arrives in theaters October 5th. Watch the trailer here and let us know what you think!
With Venom, we'll see what's the vision of SONY for these spin off. Venom is the favourite character of on old friend of mine, I hope he will have a good movie.
