The Last Man Standing, starring [url=http://www.timallen.com/index.php?cat=no&]Tim Allen, ran on [url=https://abc.go.com/]ABC for six seasons. ABC did not renew the sitcom for the following 2017-18 season, despite being the second-highest rated series on the network. Almost a year after cancellation, the FOX network picked up the series for a 7th season.
The shows cancellation came as a surprise to both fans and the cast. Rumors suggested the popular comedy was axed for its conservative views. ABC’s president, Channing Dungey, stated otherwise. Dungey [url=https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/why-last-man-standing-was-canceled-tim-allen-responds-1004414]announced that the decision to cancel Last Man Standing was based on the discontinuation of Friday night comedies. Dungey added that Allen’s conservative political views did not influence the series cancellation in any way.
Last Man Standing airs September 28th on FOX at 8pm.
