Indeed, I would have big hopes for this. But I am so used to be negatively surprised. Many biopics are actually completely missing the point, by focusing too much on making everything perfect and exactly as it was.
That's why I loved Amadeus by Milos Forman, it may not tell the actual perfect story. But it is a beautiful work of art on its own. It has a theme and goes fully at it. A beautiful based on reality fairy-tale.
At the end of the film, you root and care deeply about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, even know it may be only a version of him.
Also, I remember the movie The Doors, by Oliver Stone. While I think the film is much better than most reviews depict it, it still fails to really propose a human version of Jim Morrison.
In the end, biopics is really a topic on its own. I would have so much to say. I guess we'll have the opportunity to talk when the movie opens.
