Technology has profoundly changed Mankind forever. Phones have become computers, cars have autopilots, the biggest taxi company has no cars (Uber), the biggest hotel company has no hotels (Airbnb), watches can now run electrocardiograms and books are now read on tablets.

What about TV? Well, TV has not been forgotten. The good old time of waiting for your favorite show to air at a precise moment on a precise channel is slowly fading away. Some people don't even have cable anymore. The Internet has forevere changed the world and TV is now consumed through boxes such as the Apple TV and through apps such as Netflix.

While Netflix is enjoying a well deserved success by being the first to have massively invested in streaming services, other major companies are slowly but surely trying to catch up. While Amazon and Apple are investing in new exclusive shows, one particular company is taking the time to offer a service that will probably become a massive success in the coming years. Disney.

According to Disney's CEO Bob Iger, the development of their own streaming service is their current biggest priority. If you are a Netflix member, you probably know that Disney's movies are currently available on Netflix. Well, that may change very soon. When Disney's streaming service will be released, they will remove their content from Netflix entirely. This move will cost Disney $300 million of annual revenue! That means that they expect to earn even more with their own service.
And if you think only about Frozen and Toy Story, think again. Following Disney's M&A with 21st Century Fox, this means that the service will also offer all the movies and series produced by FOX, from The Simpsons to The X-Files.

Their streaming service is set to be released in late 2019. Stay tuned to tvore.com for all the latest news about it.

And Marvel movies. And Star Wars. And Indiana Jones. And Disney live action films like Alice in Wonderland or Pirates of the Caribbean. It can be big.

Although I wonder, in a few years' time when no more DVDs/BluRays come out for new shows and streaming is the only way to watch them, even if each service is like 10 €/month, who is going to pay every month each separate service: Netflix, HBO, Disney, Amazon, CBS, Apple, that's already 60 €/month... (OK, there would be overlap in their libraries, but only some)
