With each new day bringing The Truth closer than ever, We find ourselves unravelling new pieces to the puzzle in the run up to the Season Premiere on January 3rd 2018.
Fox have confirmed that the title of the Eleventh Season Premiere will be titled "My Struggle III". Over on Twitter, Anne Simon and long time provider of the science behind The X Files teases a very valid question in asking whose struggle is the title referring to this time?
Speculation is already rife amongst X-Philes everywhere regarding this now confirmed premiere title. Ranging with idea's from William, to Mulder and Scully's relationship, a struggle for Skinner, or maybe The Cigarette Smoking Man will reveal some sort of struggle? Whatever the truth is behind the "My Struggle III" title, one thing for sure is that we cannot wait for The X-Files to return!
The press release from Fox revealed that the premiere episode will be in fact written and directed by Series Creator Chris Carter as well as providing the following description:
"Picking up after the last event series' cliffhanger, Mulder and Scully learn that they aren't the only ones desperately searching for their long-lost son, William. The very fate of the world may depend on it in the all-new "My Struggle III" season premiere episode of THE X-FILES airing Wednesday, Jan. 3 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (XF-1101) (TV-14 D, L, V)"
Furthermore, an article by SpoilerTV has revealed the following cast list:
Cast: David Duchovny as Fox Mulder; Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully; Mitch Pileggi as Walter Skinner
Guest Cast: William B. David as Cigarette Smoking Man; Annabeth Gish as Monica Reyes; Chris Owen as Jeffrey Spender; AC Peterson as Mr. Y; Barbara Hershey as Erika Price; Robbie Amell as Agent Miller; Lauren Ambrose as Agent Einstein; Anjali Jay As Dr. Joyet
With "My Struggle III" set to start off the eleventh season of The X-Files in only a few weeks time, we can't wait to see where this upcoming journey will take us!
