What did you guys think of the episode?
Me, I hated it beyond anything. The CSM raped Scully? Give me a break.

I did like it! I really enjoyed it. Maybe the end can look like too much soap opera, but OMG!! I have to say I didn't expected it. The truth is I feel sorry for them, too much suffering all their lifes, but OMG!
And I don't think she was raped, I believe CSM artificially inseminated her. My doubt is... That episode is supposed to be En Ami in season 7, right? What I don't remember is when Scully knew she was pregnant. Does the time match? Do you think they had this already planned in s7?

Just read an itw with Chris Carter (in Entertainment Weekly), where he says he knew it all along. That's the ultimate twist, 18 years in the making. And yes, Scully is with Bush in En Ami, just a few episodes before Requiem, where she announces that she's pregnant.

As for the word rape, my view is that drugging a women and impregnating her without her consent is a rape. Wouldn't you agree?
What I cannot understand is how messed up this is. Scully was abducted, had experiments on her, got cancer, couldn't get a child, then had Emily, lost Emily, then had William, lost William. I love Scully too much to have her gone through all those things episode after episode.

Yeah ok, maybe it's rape. And yes, Scully has suffered too much for my taste, too. I agree. But it's just a TV show (my all time favorite, but still just a TV show) and I think there's too much talk about the rape thing.

I just saw the episode for the second time, and I really liked it! Sure there are things that don't match but maybe we just have to let it flow and enjoy. Lots of things haven't matched during the 11 seasons, and we are still here...

I usually don't like mythology episodes, but this may be one of my favorites. It was intense and thrilling. I was breathless during all the episode and the end was... Wow!! The first thing I told my dad after a week gone for holidays was "oh my goooood, you have to watch it!!" ( we used to watch the x files together as a kid, and in my country it hasn't aired yet).

Oh and CSM was great in it!
