Gillian Leigh Anderson, born on August 9, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois, is an acclaimed American actress best known for her role as FBI Special Agent Dana Scully in the long-running series "The X-Files." Early Life and Education
Anderson was born to Rosemary Alyce, a computer analyst, and Homer Edward Anderson III, the owner of a film post-production company.
