As our search for the truth inches yet another day closer, we find ourselves pondering the fate of mankind following the outbreak of the Spartan Virus back in The X Files Season 10 finale.
Marisa Roffman reveals the latest scoop with her article for TV Insider. The article begins by revisiting the cliffhanger that left us all on the edge of our seats as the curtains of the tenth season's finale came to a close back in 2016.
"When The X-Files wrapped up its first event series in 2016, an outbreak put most of the world's population at risk, including Mulder (David Duchovny)—who seemed to be on the verge of death. Scully (Gillian Anderson) realized she needed to find her son whom she gave up for adoption".
The article then proceeds by sharing a couple of teases of whats to come in Season 11 from series creator Chris Carter.
"But what comes next? "Mulder's life is always on the line,"
"It's the way we end every season. So why is this any different? I think you'll be surprised, elated."
The insight comes from a video interview included in the article, in which Marisa Roffman speaks with Chris Carter, David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson and Mitch Pileggi.
"It appears I get a little better," Duchovny allows. Adds Anderson, "A little."
