I read the review of Redux by DuaneB and it gave me the idea to create this topic.
What is your favourite X-Files trilogy?

- Duane Barry/Ascension/One Breath (aka Abduction)
- Anasazi/The Blessing Way/Paper Clip (aka The Unopened File)
- Gethsemane/Redux/Redux II
- Biogenesis/The Sixth Extinction/The Sixth Extinction II: Amor Fati
- Requiem/Within/Without (not sure if this is really a trilogy)

As for me, I need some time to choose between Duane Barry or Anasazi. Both are so beyond brilliant.

A fair question. I really loved triptych in The X-Files. Maybe Anasazi/The Blessing Way/Paper Clip. Very solid.

I thought to check my reviews, in order to see what note I had given to those episodes, since I hesitate between Abduction and The Unopened File:
Duane Barry: 10/10
Ascension: 10/10
One Breath: 10/10

Anasazi: 10/10
The Blessing Way: 9/10
Paper Clip: 10/10

It's like trying to chose between your mother and father. Maybe I choose not to choose. These six episodes are really the reason I loved the show so much at the time. You cannot even compare these episodes to My Struggle tetralogy. This is like trying to compare an apple and... well.... Apple. Not the same things at all.

Yes! What a damn good topic!

And the choice is so dificult! But even if I love Redux trilogy so much, I think my fan heart goes immediatly to Duane Barry trilogy.

And comparing the original series trilogies with the revival trilogy is like comparing a real sex to a sex toy. There's always something wrong and mechanical that forgets the natural element...

I call this the best comparison in the history of comparison! I was looking for a metaphor earlier in the topic and came up with a very bad one (comparing apples with Apple). Yours is perfect.
And in the end, we always comes back to Scully's sextoy from Rm9.

I think this is gethsemane redux and redux II that losts me in a paranoid world and just after in the sadness with the loss of Mulder first, Scully next, what a fear. I love Kritchgau, I love the Blevins interrogatory, I love Skinner and all the characters in this trilogy
