Twenty years ago, fans of the TV series The X-Files were lining up to watch the first feature film based on the Fox television series.
Titled The X-Files, the movie's tagline was also referred by fans as the title itself: Fight the Future. In this 1998 Summer film, Special FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully are doing a rogue investigation - the FBI X-Files office is closed at that time - linked to an alien virus discovered somewhere in Texas.

Here is the trailer of the film:

In order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the film's release, Website [url=https://www.moviefone.com/2018/06/18/x-files-fight-the-future-movie-trivia/]Website MovieFone released 15 facts that some casual viewers may not know about the film. In it, we learn that approximately 3,000 bees were used during the shot of Mulder and Scully running to the exit door.

We also learn that Chris Carter disliked the blockbuster movie Independence Day, hence the reason why Fox Mulder (portrayed on the screen by David Duchovny) is seen peeing on the poster in a backdoor alley.

The code name of the film was Blackwood. This was a reference to a horror novelist named Algernon Blackwood.

Finally, as a typical X-Files secrecy move, the scripts of the films were printed on red paper, so that it would be difficult to copy them.

A great news. Well done.

What a nice anniversary.

I remember it very well. It was crazy on the movie theater. Of course, it has a full house.

1998 was a very good year.

How to say... 1998 was one of my best year ever.
And of course the movie has highlighted this happiness.

A great eyes pleasure, a magnificent reward from Chris Carter. This film is crazy eroticism.

I will do my review very soon.

Wow two decades, my favourite show is really getting old!...

Who remembers this? Featuring the Cigarette-Smoking Man and Agent Doggett's brother!

Also, this article is more complete and has some photos and trivia I did not know about!

I definitely remember this music video as well as this great cover of One. I listened to both soundtracks so many times.
