Spooky Empire 2018, a horror convention held in Orlando, Florida, is slowly becoming one of the biggest
X-Files reunions ever. Fans of the show, lovingly known as X-Philes, are reveling in the con's guest updates as more and more members of the cast are being added to the con line up. It's impressive enough to get the leads, Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny, but the con is exceeding expectations and getting the dream
X-Files guest list. Robert Patrick, who played John Doggett in seasons eight and nine, was the most recent addition and his addition officially completed the main cast of the show.
Let's take a look, actor by actor, at what
X-Files cast members you can expect to see at Spooky Empire.
The first cast announcement was David Duchovny, known on
The X-Files as Fox Mulder. Duchovny is also well known for his portrayal of Hank Moody on
Californication and for his written works;
Holy Cow, Bucky F*cking Dent, and 2018's
Miss Subways. Duchovny was the first guest to have his own VIP Package available, along with tickets for autographs, solo photos, and a duo photo with Gillian Anderson.
Speaking of Gillian Anderson, she was the second guest from
The X-Files that Spooky Empire announced. Anderson can also be seen as Stella Gibson in
The Fall, Bedelia DuMaurier in
Hannibal, and as Media in Season One of
American Gods. She also has co-authored a book,
We: A Manifesto for Women Everywhere, and recently released a fashion line. Just like Duchovny, she has a special VIP Package along with tickets for autographs, solo photos, and a duo photo opportunity available.
As if Spooky Empire wasn't already knocking it out of the ballpark, they added stars Mitch Pileggi and William B. Davis at the same time. Mitch Pileggi, Walter Skinner on The X Files, can also be seen as Horace Pinker in Shocker along with various other television appearances. William B. Davis, the infamous 'Cigarette Smoking Man/Cancer Man' on The X-Files, is quite well known for his outspoken views on Skepticism. He also published a memoir in 2011 called
Where There's Smoke .... The Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man. There's no word yet on the details regarding their availability for autographs/photos, but information will be released closer to the convention dates.
Next up is the beloved Annabeth Gish. Gish played the new-age believer, Monica Reyes, on season eight through eleven of The X-Files. She can also be seen various movies and televisions shows, such as;
Shag, Hiding Out, Mystic Pizza, SLC Punk!, The Last Supper and Double Jeopardy. Announcements of her availability are also TBD.
Oh the villain everyone loved to hate...or just plain loved. Nicholas Lea, who played the notoriously shady Alex Krycheck on
The X-Files, was added earlier this month. Lea is also known for his portrayal of Tom Foss on
Kyle XY. Like Pileggi, Davis, and Gish, no news yet on his availability.
As stated prior, the newest addition has been Robert Patrick, John Doggett. Patrick is also famous for his antagonistic role in
Terminator 2 along with many other villainous roles. His availability is much like the others.
While this is already a dream, Spooky Empire has not officially announced that they've completed the guest list. Does this mean there may be more cast members announced? Who would you like to see? The Lone Gunmen? Chris Carter? Dagoo? Let us know in the comments.
As a recap, Spooky Empire will take place October 26th-28th, 2018 at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida. Tickets are still available on the con's website, along with the full guest list and other opportunities available. We hope to see you there!
